Important and fine Tabriz (Northwestern Iran) circa 1965/1970.
Midnight blue field decorated with stylized mosaics and stained glass, sky blue, ivory and old gold floral bulbs, adorned with three green-bronze star-shaped floral rosettes. Main border in ruby with interlacing bulbs and multicoloured flower buds.
Silky lambswool velvet, silk-encrusted floral palmettes on silk foundations.
Density of approximately 9,000 knots per square meter.
Beautiful polychromy.
Good condition.
