Grenoble 1968. Jean-Claude Killy and Guy Périllat, Alpine skiing (downhill) © L'Équipe February 9, 1968. When the blizzard finally gave way to the Olympic downhill, Guy Périllat was the first to set off. The next twelve skiers did no better. Then came number 14. And then, "Killy's audacity surpassed Périllat's perfection", summarised "L'Équipe". This double win by friends confirmed the domination of French skiing and launched the golden campaign of the most gifted of its champions. Single later print. Edition 1/1.
