L.A.S. addressed to Joseph DESSAUER in Milan. Milan 23 May 1832; 2 pages in-8 in brown ink, address.
To composer Joseph Dessauer (1798-1876). "I will not be able to have the pleasure of seeing you again in Milan; letters I have just received from France force me to leave for Grenoble much earlier than I intended. I am very sorry, I assure you, that our acquaintance, or rather our relationship, which was beginning to take shape, so pleasantly for me, was suddenly interrupted. If you also regret it on your side, it will be easy for us to renew it in
Germany, where we can meet in the course of the next year". His itinerary for the coming months follows: in Dauphiné, then in Paris, in Munich and finally in Berlin. He asks him to send him news and gives his address at La Côte-Saint-André (Isère). He waits for his news, and ends: "Farewell, do not be lazy nor forgetful"...
