Paintings, "Paysage - Landscape",From 1920 to 1927 Baumann completed an apprenticeship as a decorative painter and studied at the School of Applied Arts in Cologne under Robert Seuffert. From 1927 to 1934, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Ludwig von Herterich and Karl Caspar. A further training stay took him to Paris between 1927 and 1930 at the Académie Colarossi. From 1929 onwards, various trips to France, Italy, Spain, England, Yugoslavia and Greece followed. Thus he was drawn once again from 1930 to 1931 to France, Normandy and Paris with his friend, the painter Fritz Harnest. From 1934 to 1959 Baumann lived as a freelance artist in Oberndorf near Regensburg. He was married to the teacher Maria Baumann, who worked at the Ziegetsdorf School until 1971, and after its dissolution at the St. Wolfgang School, a school in the Regensburg district of Kumpfmühl. / 1940-1949
