With engraved. title vign. and 37 (thereof 6 old coloured, 4 double-page and 1 folded) copper plates. Folio. HPgt. d. with coloured paper cover (somewhat bumped, somewhat spotted). Cf. Ornamentsichkat. Berlin 2154.- Splendid collection of own publishing products by Peter Conrad Monath. Plates 1 to 12 show Nuremberg works of art, scientific instruments, curiosities, objects of the Kunstkammer and relics as the Sebaldus tomb, Behaim globe in 2 hemispheres, coronation insignia, etc. Plates 13 to 18 contain the 'Types of Clothing at Nuremberg' (Lipperheide old 783), published also as octavo volume, here colored in 52 single copies uncut on the full sheets. The same with plates 19 to 37 with Samuel Mikoviny's, here about half-page 37 'Nuremberg Prospects', including general view, plan, views of buildings and complexes. The double-page world map 'Geographische Vorstellung eines Globi, welchen Anno 1492 Herr Martin Behaim zu Nürnberg exhibiret' originally from J.G. Doppelmayer's 'Historische Nachrichten von den Nürnbergischen Mathematicis'.- Numbering by old hand in brown ink in the headpiece of each plate.- Signed name on mirror. Sporadically somewhat foxed, the folded plate with 2 tears (ca. 6 cm) in the lower folds, plate 6 with longer tear in the white inner web, plate 27 with small tear in the white foot web.-.
