Jean Schoenner large magic lantern c. 1890, marked, sheet metal body mounted on a wooden base, blackened resp. nickel plated, with removable vent, hinged door, lens adjustable by means of a toothed bar and ornamental elements, in original wooden case with twelve part coloured lithographed glass picture series "Reise durch die Schweiz und Rheinfahrt" ("Journey through Switzerland and Rhine Journey") as well as accompanying supplement, additionally c. 30 different glass pictures of different manufacturers, among them light play pictures, marked Paul Wiedemann Chemnitz, good age-related condition with normal traces of use, additional pictures partly damaged, dimensions projection device 34 x 17 x 45 cm, dimensions glass pictures max. 21,5 x 7 cm, dimensions box 57 x 31 x 21 cm.
