France Lidded cup with cotton wool sceneSévres, red special mark 1845-1848, blue brush mark of the painting workshop as well as indistinct incised marks, conical form with ear handle and domed slip lid with fruit knob, richly decorated with royal blue glazed ground and lavish gold etched cartouches, the figural depiction in the large oval reserve on the front and the floral bouquets of the two lid reserves in fine polychrome onglaze painting, gold staffage and gold rim, partially old restored condition, at the lip chip and 2 cm long hairline crack, h total 14 cm.
