PACCARD (André)
"Morocco and traditional Islamic craftsmanship in architecture". Saint-Jorioz, Atelier 74, 1983.
2 vol. in-4, 508-582 pp. with more than 2000 reproductions, publisher's green cloth in illustrated dust jacket and slipcase. First edition.
NOTE
After twelve years of work in Morocco during which he was in charge of restoring monuments of the past, André Paccard records in this masterly work the results of his intervention by giving, at last, the floor to the Maallems (the masters). They show us the techniques and canons of the style (in particular the famous "regulating lines" which give rhythm to the decoration of the floor, walls and ceilings).
