*Ocarina cérémoniel
representing a dignitary sitting in a hieratic posture. He wears precious clothes, a circular shell on his torso, two large ear ornaments (tambas), a crown with a diadem in the effigy of his totem, the Jaguar god. His face, with the gentle and serene expression of a powerful man, is decorated with scarifications in relief. This work of great finesse personifies the lord in the strength of age, his scarifications indicate that he has undergone many initiations for his office.
