Vintage North Caucasus rug, hand made "Boteh", province Shirvan, a historical Iranian region in the eastern Caucasus. Carpet is made out of 100% sheep wool from Shirvan region, on cotton warps, natural dyes.
Carpet illustrates "Botehs" - of Paisley pattern, variously described as a stylized leaf, pear, pine. With a central medallion. Carpet is very fine piece of art.
