with silver mounting. On relief stand baluster-shaped body made of heavy colorless crystal glass, surrounded by olive cut. Rococo-style mount decorated with flowers, volutes, cords and mascarons in relief. Godroned, domed lid with knob in the shape of a Bacchus boy holding grapevines aloft. On curved volute handle is a thumb rest also formed by volutes. Marked by 925, maker's mark. H. ca. 34 cm. A pair of Portuguese silver mounted cut glass carafes. Standard mark 925, maker's mark.
