Marine officer saber model 1837, brass guard decorated with an anchor, horn spindle, blade signed: "Manufacture Nationale de Kligenthal Coulaux Ainé & Cie"; leather scabbard with three gilded and chased brass trimmings, clevis decorated with an anchor under St Jacques shell, bolt decorated with tridents. Blade of 71 cm. Second half of the XIXth century. Wear, weakness to the leather of the scabbard. A.B.E.
