Tuscan commode; Louis XV style, second half of the eighteenth century. Pine core, rosewood veneer, bronze and marquetry. It has scratches. Measurements: 83 x 117 x 49 cm. Eighteenth century wooden chest of drawers supported on four legs; the rear ones of rectangular format and the two front ones, as a cabriole. In the upper part of the legs, the piece of furniture has a mixtilinear profile skirt and symmetrical conception, which is arranged in the front and side areas, since the skirt of the rear area is defined by straight lines. The central body, which has a curved format, is structured with a single lane and two drawers. Both drawers have the same design based on a fretwork that runs around the entire outer perimeter of the drawer, which is made with marquetry and presents a design of geometric shapes. This ornamentation is complemented by the presence of gilded bronze appliqués that correspond to the handles and the lock of each drawer. The sides, of a more sober design than the front, also present a geometric decoration based on marquetry, following the patterns of the ornamentation of the central body, as is the case with the upper panel of the cabinet.
