Granada School of the first third of the eighteenth century. "St. Joachim and St. Anne". Oil on panel. Both boards have faults and repainting. Both frames have scratches and faults. Measurements: 29 x 25 cm; 35 x 31,5 cm. (each one). The Christian tradition has considered Joachim and Anna as the progenitors of Mary. These names are taken from the Protoevangelium of James, one of the most famous and ancient apocryphal gospels. In the pair of panels we are dealing with, both characters are shown half bust, cut out on a neutral background, in a sort of grotto, where there is no other element that distorts the viewer's view.
