Ernst Barlach (1870 Wedel - 1938 Rostock), 'Russian Beggar Woman II', ca.1932 (model), Bronze with a dark brown patina. H. 23.0 x 42.0 x 18.0 cm. Posthumous cast. Signed on the side of the base: E. Barlach and numbered: 8/10 (scratched) and foundry mark H. Noack Berlin. Copy 8 of 10 copies, according to the WVZ there are 31 copies. This larger version follows the shape of the smaller 'Russian Beggar I' from 1907., Cat raisoné Schult 71 and Laur 517. Provenance:
