The "skull cap" is made of rock crystal set with a gilded copper ring around its perimeter and decorated with skulls and inserts of turquoise and coral. The set rests on a tripod base in gilded copper with a very elaborate decoration representing three "Citipati", surrounded by a floral motif, and each holding three Buddhist jewels ("ratna" or "mani") in their hands.
Late 19th century.
Height: 29 cm. Width: 25 cm.
Old accident to the rock crystal part, very well restored.
