and ebonized wood case - 18th Century
tortoiseshell and ebonized wood case, architectural structure with upper balustrade made of gilt bronze elements, stepped frames and front separated by four smooth columns topped by pinnacles; front drawer and opening lid surmounted by a gilt bronze crown fastigium set with river pearls and cabochons of coral, turquoise and glass paste. Height x depth x width 68.4 x 39.7 x 55 cm. Item condition grading: **** good (previous restorations, cracks and surface wear commensurate with age & use). Accompanied by Ce.S.Ar. Centro Studi Archeometrici certificate of authenticity (pre-1947).
