JAPON Carved ivory okimono representing a man and a child standing, the man coming back from fishing and carrying on his back a basket of basketry topped by a seagull and holding another seagull with his hand. A landing net at their feet. The sculptor's signature on the reverse is missing. Meiji period, 1868 - 1912 H. 18.5 cm
