Extremely rare Art Déco study in Venetian style, four pieces, consisting of a desk, a bookcase, a desk chair, and a small side table, Venice circa 1920/25. Impressive ensemble in the elegant Art Deco style with the typical minimalist straight lines, but here with additional lavish carvings by the artist, with quotations from Dante's Divine Comedy, as well as magnificently carved, sculptural portraits of Dante, da Vinci, Galileo, and Michelangelo. Unmatched masterful carving of finest macassar and Caucasian walnut. Overall, in very good original condition. Old, inactive worm marks, small chipps on veneer. Partially in need of some restoration. Dimensions: desk height 81 x184 x 105 cm, bookcase height 205 x 210 x 60 cm, side table height 76 x 62 x 45 cm, armchair height 82 x 75 x 70 cm. All keys available.
