Shout, (Pordenone, 1977) "Followed", 2010. Collection "Dazed". Edition 4/20. Etching and aquatint on molded cotton paper. Signed and numbered in pencil. Measurements: 42 x 30 (print), 70 x 50 cm. Alessandro Gottardo known in the art world as Shout, is an Italian illustrator winner of the 2009 gold medal of the Society of Publication Designers for his illustration "Animal Spirits" made for the New York Times. He studied art in Venice and illustration at the European Institute of Design in Milan. His work is clean, simplifying form, color and content to the minimum to give more relevance to the concept he expresses, sometimes in a satirical way and sometimes in a conceptual and reflexive way. In this way his works become small conceptual works in which clear messages are conveyed at first glance, inspired by stimuli such as theater, photography, music or literature, highlighting the stories of Carver whose writing has greatly influenced Shout's personal language. He collaborates with media outlets such as the New York Times, New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, TIME, Financial Times, Le Monde and NationalGeographic among others. He also holds three Gold Medals and three Silver Medals from the Society of Illustrators of New York, the D&AD Graphite Pencil and the Cannes Bronze Lion.
