Rare boite ronde en ivoire
mounted in tortoise shell inlaid on the lid with an oval medallion with an equestrian portrait of Queen Marie-Antoinette (1755-1793), in amazon wearing a feathered headdress, painted on mother-of-pearl and enhanced with gilded metal sticks, silver and gilded pastilles, made after the print by Robin de Montigny (see below), under glass. Inside lined with tortoise shell. Small missing pieces.
