German Orders and Medals - Principality of Reuss : Fürstlich Reußisches Ehrenkreuz 2. Klasse mit Krone Order cross, gold and enamel. Without ribbon. Splendid example of the best jeweler's quality from the 2nd half of the 19th century. The medallions worked in three parts. The crown in finest hollow stamping. Minor wear marks. In beautiful original red leather case. The lid with gold embossed inscription: "R.E.K.. II. m Kr." and the princely coat of arms. Inner part with dark blue velvet inlay. In the silk lining of the inner cover gold stamped maker's label "BURY & LEONHARD / HOF - JUWELIERE / HANAU". Provenance: Prince Henry XXII of Reuss (older line). Ordenskreuz, Gold und Emaille. Ohne Band. Prachtexemplar in bester Juweliersqualität aus der 2. Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Die Medaillons dreiteilig gearbeitet. Die Krone in feinster Hohlprägung. Geringfügige Tragespuren. Im schönen Originaletui aus rotem Leder. Der Deckel mit goldgeprägter Bezeichnung: "R.E.K. II. m Kr." und dem fürstlichen Wappen. Innenteil mit dunkelblauer Samteinlage.
