Agbogho mmwo "spirit of the girl" mask made of wood and pigments, showing an emaciated and whitened face, punctuated with black scarifications in the form of commas. The stretched and slit eyes, the busted nose, the wide mouth half-opened on filed teeth, and the high superstructure hairstyle are characteristic of these masks celebrating idealized female beauty. Four curved crenellated horns surmount the face and frame an animal sculpted in the round. Beautiful polychromy on the whole mask.
