OLPE BELL WITH RED FIGURES
DATE: IV sec. a. C.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: chamois figulina clay, glossy black paint, orange-colored white sub-paintings, modeled by fast lathe.
Flared lip with rounded rim, high neck with concave profile, distinct from the ovoid body, ribbon handle set vertically from neck to shoulder, echino foot molded
ADDITIONAL DECORATION: entirely painted except for the lower part of the foot; on the neck rosette between horizontal olive shoots, under the handle large palmette open like a fan between volutes and inflorescences.
DECORATION: profile of a young woman turned to the right with her hair styled in curls on the forehead and wrapped in sakkos.
PRODUCTION: red-figure bell ceramic
STATE OF CONSERVATION: intact, chipping
