Vase. Ancient Greece, V-III century BC. Vase. Ancient Greece, 5th-3rd century BC. In white marble. Private collection, Bordeaux, France. Measurements: 22.8 cm in diameter. With a long neck, globular body and slightly widened mouth, this marble vase follows a model similar to the lecithus, a type used to store oils or ointments, although it may also have had a funerary use. This piece can be dated to the end of the Classical period, or to the so-called century of Alexander the Great.
