In-4 speckled tan basane, spine with five raised bands, gilt fillets, red title page, edges speckled in red (contemporary binding). Tear and small lack of leather in the lower box, small epidermis, dull corners, traces of wetness and mould in the lower right corner of all the plates. FIRST FRENCH EDITION of the complete set of 66 plates mounted on mitre of James Cook's second voyage, in a beautiful quarto format.
