Mons. Large tripod coffee pot, topped with a basket abundantly garnished with fruit as a fretel, resting on a lid and a body with twisted ribs. Cambered legs ending in three claws with a shell clasp. Ornamented with three garlands of leaves and fruits held by rings or medallions. Silver finely chased and embossed. Hallmark of Mons à la Tour and "Albert Elisabeth". Date stamp for 1774 and as yet unidentified goldsmith's stamp, marking a "Poire". Height : 40 cm. Weight : 1 kg 480 g. Particularly interesting piece for the originality of the decoration and its fretel in particular, of which no other example is known, its size is moreover particularly imposing. Provenance : Collection of Baron and Baroness François Duesberg, formerly collection Louis Planchar. Litt : Reproduced in the catalog of the Brussels Antiques Fair of 1989.
