MAPPIN BROTHERS, LONDON ca.1920-1930 Rare and elegant toilet and jewelry box In wood veneer imitating tortoiseshell, opening with a mirror flap on partitioned spaces holding 3 boxes and 7 glass bottles, two of which are for perfume, all covered in silver metal and chased with floral motifs, the lower part opening with a push button by a secret drawer on partitioned storage spaces for jewelry. The drawer signed on a cartouche "Mappin Brothers, London Bridge & 220 Regent Street". Good overall condition, two veneer trims to be reattached. Dimensions : 18 x 30,5 x 23 cm
