Fine mother-of-pearl carving Italy, end of 19th century, probably devotional piece of a pilgrimage, mother-of-pearl elaborately carved and engraved, in the upper part triptych-like structured Christian representation with central scene of Christ's birth, flanked by the Annunciation of Mary as well as the baptism of Jesus, in the lower part open worked, decorated by four tondi with further scenes from the life of Christ, small losses of substance, otherwise good condition with minimal signs of age, D ca. 19 cm.
