Original FERAHAN carpet woven in the famous workshop of the master weaver MUSTAHAFI (Persia), end of the 19th century
Dimensions : 193 x 135cm.
Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
An ivory field serves as a frame for a very original decoration of honeycombed trellis, decorated with stylized polychrome floral compositions. Two "suns" shoot their rays at each end of the carpet, framed by four curious plant spandrels brick. Three counter borders with garlands of undulating flowers, frame the main brick with a series of multicolored flowering stems.
