TABRIZ carpet woven in the famous workshop of the master weaver HADJI-JALILI (Persia), circa 1870-80
Dimensions : 174 x 130cm.
Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on cotton foundation.
A tobacco colored field highlights a beautiful floral medallion polylobed ivory, navy and brick. Four spandrels brick with scrolls and foliage frame the whole. Three counter borders, two with vases and cypresses enclose the main brick with a succession of polychrome flowers. (Small wears)
