Two blue and white underglaze porcelain bowls, China, 17th-19th centuries-
One decorated with the eight horses of Emperor Mu Wang in a landscape of rocks and lingzhi mushrooms, bamboo and weeping willow. The bottom decorated with a medallion of flowers and lotus scrolls and auspicious characters, a stylized frieze borders the top of the bowl interior. Fish mark in a double blue circle on the base. China, Kangxi period (1662-1722). Height : 9 cm ; diameter : 19 cm ; crack and enamel retraction in the bottom.
- The other one is decorated with a village showing pavilions, a bridge crossed by two characters and a boat in a lake landscape. A branch of peonies adorns the bottom of the bowl and a stylized frieze of flowers, scrolls and shou characters borders the top of the interior of the bowl. China, 19th century. Height : 10 cm ; diameter : 23 cm ; cracks and chips.
