Pair of blackened wood armchairs with straight back and full armrests entirely covered with their original blue, green, yellow and red striped fabric. Corner legs with four straight quadrangular feet (traces of wood-eating insects).

Provenance : former collection of Jeanne Tachard, winter garden of the villa Les Vingt Pins in Sainte-Maxime (Var) built by André Barbier-Bouvet in the early 1920s. Note: Contrary to the Parisian fittings, for the interior design, Pierre Legrain does not intervene here, only Eileen Gray and Marcel Coard participate in the stripped furnishing of this villa for their great friend Jeanne Tachard
