Starting price : 4 000 €. Launched in June 1962, the R8 was designed by Gaston JUCHET and Philippe CHARBONNEAUX. It is one of the first French cars with four disc brakes. The Sierra engine, also known as the Cléon-Fonte engine, with five bearings is new. This engine developed by the engineer René VUAILLAT will have a long career since it will still be used on the Twingo, Express, Clio and Supercinq in the 1990s. The R8 was produced in France between 1962 and 1973. The model we present is the MAJOR version with a 1 100 cm3 engine taken from the Caravelle 1 100 placed at the rear of the vehicle. The R8 will be replaced by the R10 which is a stretched version. Our example in good original condition has a sound body which has been repainted underneath and the 4 tires are new.
