Condition : Not running, vehicle being rebuilt, base in perfect condition. Price : 25 000 €. The R8 GORDINI 1100 made its appearance at the Paris Motor Show in September 1964. It is the first affordable compact sports car with sporty performance for a production car price. From a RENAULT block, Amédée GORDINI increases the displacement to 1108 cc to reach 95 horsepower, thanks to its hemispherical cylinder head, its V-shaped overhead valves and its two double-body carburetors. From 1965 onwards, 2,623 units were produced. The example we present is a faithful reconstruction from original and new parts, however it still needs some work to be done, in particular between the engine and the gearbox, the finishing of the electrical system and the connection of the brake system. All body parts are in excellent condition, the interior is new with a three-point roll bar. It is also equipped with four R8G 1100 rims with 4 new Michelin tires. Particularities : 2 WEBER double-body 40 DCOE 151 carburetors.
