KEATS John Endymion: a Poetic Romance London, Printed for Taylor and Hessey, 1818 Large in-8°. Green half morocco with corners (W. Pratt, English bookbinder, last third of the 19th century). Spine with 5 nerves decorated with gilt brackets and fleurons. Double gilt fillets on the boards. Gilt head. Slight rubbing to the spines, corners and back, tail cap removed. Very fresh inside. Rare first edition of the second work published during the author's lifetime (he published only 3) and first printing (false title with on the verso "Printed by T. Miller, Noble street, Cheapside" and the one-line erratum). Without the 2 ff. of "adverts". This work has left its mark on English and world poetry. A beautiful copy!
