In-12°. Half burgundy morocco (Devauchelle). Spine with 5 nerves underlined by cold filets, decorated with gilt fleurons. Gilded fillets on the boards. Gilt head. Covers included. Small rubbing at the head cap. Traces of scotch tape on the 1st white guard of the binding (probably from an old notice that has now disappeared).
First edition with a collective mailing to Henri de Lapommeraye with the autograph signatures of the 6 authors (the mailing itself is, in all likelihood, by Zola). Henri de Lapommeraye was a politician but above all a theatrical critic.
