Pair (2) of butter lamps with their cover, presumed to be in silver (low title) embossed. The bowl is connected to a lantsa pedestal by an element in the form of a jivana kalasa (tze-bum), supposed to contain amrita (immortality liquor). The surface is richly engraved with auspicious symbols, scrolls and lotus flowers. Four ornaments decorated with turquoise and red stones fall from the jivana kalasa. TIBET, 19th century. H : 28 cm (each)
