)The Omnibus of Corinth. 1897. Lithograph. [250 x 315]. Bouvet 45. Beautiful proof on thin buff vellum. Several short tears at the edges of the folio, reinforced or formerly restored. Trace of glue on the reverse. Small rings of moisture in the upper right corner. Good margins. Very rare.
This plate was offered as a bonus with the short-lived periodical L'Omnibus de Corinthe, "illustrated vehicle of general ideas", edited by Fernand Clerget, which had six issues, from October 15, 1896 to January 15, 1898. It was attached to the issue of April 15, 1897 ("Luxe-Japan" edition, obtained for 3 francs per year instead of 1 franc for the ordinary edition).
