SPEAR THRUSTER / WOOMERA The Western Australian spear thrower is made of wood with plant or animal ligature. The thruster was certainly worked with animal teeth on the reverse side and has superb ceremonial motifs typical of the Kimberley region. The front side was certainly made with stone and shell for the finishing touches. The handle (grip) is covered with vegetable tar (spinifex).
