Edition in quarto format, it is decorated with the portrait of Diderot and d'Alembert engraved by Cochin in the first and second volume, with 12 large folding tables distributed in the text volumes and with 443 engraved PLATES gathered in the last 3 volumes. The 6 volumes of tables which are generally missing are present. The first few leaves of the first volume are stained, with scattered foxing, and several headpieces are missing.
