École lombarde (Crémone), premier quart du XVIIème siècle The Virgin protector crowned by two angels with roses and flowers. Under her large protective mantle on the right is St. Catherine of Siena, with St. Elizabeth of Hungary in the background; on the left is a Franciscan saint (Anthony?), with little St. John with a lamb behind him, and perhaps St. Bonaventure. Oil on canvas. Signed or annotated, captioned and dated at upper right on a phylactery passing around the tree "antonio (.) cremonensis faciebad () 1607". Under the central figure surmounting a coat of arms in the form of a shield Gold and Gules S. ISABETTA AYME (?). 106 x 115.5 cm. Folding and restorations; gaps around the edges.
