A Chinese porcelain blue and white 'dance performance' vase, Kangxi period, the front panel painted with a garden scene depicting a seated official flanked by attendants as a lady performs a dance, the reverse enclosing a fruiting peach tree amidst flowering peony blossom, all on a powder-blue ground, underglaze blue double-ring mark to base, 37.5cm high, with wood cover 清康熙 青花開光花卉仕女圖瓶 品相報告 Condition Report: Vase reduced at the neck, with heavy scratches around the neck. The exterior bears a deep abrasion, seemingly caused by the same saw that reduced the neck, with a few scattered deep nicks around this area. Pitting to the glaze. A glaze hairline crack to the exterior, possibly a deep scratch, just below one of the peonies to the reverse.
