Willi Baumeister (1889-1955) was a German painter and typographer. From 1923 to 1926 he exhibited in Germany and abroad, visited the Bauhaus in Weimar, and met Vassili Kandinsky and Paul Klee. The 1927 exhibition seems to be directly linked to the Bauhaus movement.
