OMORI MITSUMOTO: A RARE AND CHARMING BRONZE OKIMONO OF A BEAR By Omori Mitsumoto (Kogen), signed Mitsumoto Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) Superbly cast and patinated to an almost black finish, the bear seated in a casual position with the head facing forward and its ears held high, with finely incised fur, the eyes inlaid in orange glass with painted pupils. Signed MITSUMOTO to the underside. HEIGHT 14 cm WEIGHT 1.9 kg Condition: Very good condition with some minor wear here and there including some small nicks and surface scratches.
