Bronze gilded and brunette. The pendulum shows a depiction of Diana with an African woman, following an enthusiasm for African and Indian life that developed in France around 1800. The design corresponds to a design by the bronze maker Jean-Simon De Verberie from 1799. It is equipped with an anchor escapement and a lock disc striking movement for full and half hours. The duration of the movement is 1 week. The watch is cover of the publication "Uhren" by Karl-Ernst Becker/Hattp Küffner. Clock runs very well. Min. ber., otherwise good condition. Paris, around 1800. h x w approx. 46 x 36 cm.
