Bracelet "Lune & Soleil" et bracelet "lune" North West Morocco, 19th century Set including a beautiful bracelet called "Shams wa qmar" in cast silver enhanced with applied gold leaf. The decoration is punctuated by alternating spiral ribs left in silver and spiral ribs covered with gold leaf, as well as a bracelet with a very similar decoration in simple silver. Diam. 7 and 62 cm; PB. : 206g A gold and silver "moon & sun" and a moon bracelet, North-West Morocco, 19th century. It comprises a silver band onto which alternating gold and silver plaques are attached. The use of gold and silver gives rise to the name of moon and sun bracelet. It is a type of bracelet that is unique to Morocco, and often is worn by a bride at her wedding. Provenance: Private collection of Mr. C. M.R. Rabaté and A.
