Very beautiful brooch in 18k yellow gold (750 thousandths) supporting a cameo of voluminous coral with delicate work so typical of the 19th century. This splendid cameo shows the bust of a woman with a proud look, wearing draped clothes, a veil and hair untied in the wind. It is not without reminding the time in which it was made. Indeed, in 1831 Victor Hugo pushed forward the image of the free woman with the character of Esmeralda in his well known and very popular novel "Notre-Dame de Paris". This jewel clearly shows the influence of this heroine in the jewelry production.
Tightening of the cameo to be expected. 14k yellow gold (585 thousandths). Repair with slight lacks on the edge. Remarkable thickness.
