Follower of Albrecht Dürer (Nuremberg 1471 - 1528) of the sixteenth century Saint Jerome in the study Oil on panel 42 x 30 cm The work in question refers to St. Jerome in the study, oil on wood 60x48 cm, Albrecht Dürer, signed and dated 1521 and kept in the National Museum of Ancient Art in Lisbon. There are numerous copies of this work, often with variations. Among the most important are those of Pieter Coecke van Aelst I, Quentin Massys (Matsys, Metsys or Messys), Marinus Van Reymerswaele, Joos van Cleve.
