Titre de voyage et laissez-passer d’Alessandro Gilardi (1808-1871).
Document in German and Russian by order of Czar Nicholas I of Russia with handwritten stamps and notes from border control posts, including 4 in Russian, notably from Brest, Warsaw and Kalisz, dated April 11, May 13 and 14, 1847. Wear and creases. Framed.

History
Alessandro Gilardi (1808-1871) was the cousin and heir of Domenico Gilardi (1785-1845), he is known for having realized the church of Saint Louis des Français in Moscow, in a late neoclassical style.
